Berlin has no Chinatown but it has got a little Hanoi, it´s called "Dong Xuan". Dong Xuan is vietnamese and means "meadow of flowers". This is the name of an very old tratitional market in Hanoi (Vietnam). You can buy everything at Dong Xuan, but no fresh flowers.
In Berlin lives about 120,000 vietnamese people, they work as trader, restaurateur or anything else. The Dong Xuan-Center is a big meetingplace, there are not only aisan shops, there are also asian hairdresser, restaurants, a language school, sportcenter and even a kindergarten.
Everyone can go into the Dong Xuan-Center, it´s open for people of all nations. You can also see indians, russians and even costumers from Poland and the Netherlands. Usually the germans go to Poland to buy things cheeper, but they would never think, that the polens bought the chinese stuff in Germany.
