Darkroom

No rain today, a wonder. I went to Biesdorf an ended the film in my new old camera.
Here are the results. I´m waiting for the sun, to fill the next film.

One of my favorit oldie cameras is my Agfa-Box from 1932. I inherited it from my grandma, he bought it only 200 m away from where I life now. It still works and makes nice oldstyle photos.

 

 

 

 

 

Greetings from Berlin

 

Rain, rain, rain

I was ordered to an action in front of a bank office. It rained very strong but orderred is ordered. It would have been very nice, if someone had given me, or the 5 others, a call, that nothing will be happend, because of the rain. We where angry and decides to have a hot coffe instead.
It´s still raining outside.

 

My squirrel does it right again, it sleeps through the bad weather and when it wakes ub, the sun is shining, maybe.

Bridges

Again and again our city-trains has problems, each time new ideas what can be broken. Today it was a very big one, a computer went down and the trafic stopped completly. I rode by bike and noticed the big problem later on. I have had 4 camaras with me and toke shots at many bridges. Under one of these bridges I found this one..

I never saw the "A-Team" on TV. It where by a regional TV station, I coud´nt receive.


Another Bridge is this historical one in the city, one of the oldest we do have. I made this tour to test the different cameras but unfortunatly it started to rain, I could not end my work because the old cameras must´nt get a single drop of rain. There are still the films in it. gone swimming

Today my school kids have had swimming, so I could ´nt teach them. But the weather was so wet, I think all of us went swimming.

Instead of teaching I met John to create a new miniphotoclub. We played around with 4 cameras and learned more about them. I dicovered, that my DSLR has a factory fault at the inside flash. I did´nt notice it so fast, because I usualy use the attachable big flash. Our only moddel was this small christimas three made of plastic.

flea market

Today was a nice sunday. After I got a small new order, I went to the flea market. I bought an old kamera, about 50 - 60 years old. It works with roll film. There ist still a film in my Agfa Box, I test the new old camera when that´s full.
The flea market at Ostbahnhof is very nice, unfortunatliy there it a construction zone beside, it looks a bit chaotic at the moment.
One of the sellers offert a bookend made of wooden squirrels, my money was empty  *cry*

 

Paramide

Sometimes I got to do in the Berlin Parliament Building, so today.
In the entrance hall is, a big paramide. Paramides, nut braker and light bows are the traditional decoration for the dark time of the year in Erzgebirge (south east germany) It has nothing to do with church, usually you should´nt find church symbols in the wooden decoration, it does´nt belong to it. You see small figures made of wood, it tells about the everyday life around the iron mines.
The waming candles makes turn around, this one is elektric operated.

 

 

Christmas Market

I went with my school kids to one of the 200 Christmas markets in Berlin (some are only one day)
My students should take christmas photos for greetingcards. I hav´nt seen the results jet, but it can´t be very much. I saw them eating candy floss and roastet almonds.

The squirrel came to me and as I´m a photographer and he a collector we have an agreement:
I get photos of him and he gets nuts from me.

grey Sunday

Rain, grey and cold, that´s the Sunday today. The best time for doing work on Photoshop. It took 2 houres, because I worked very exactly, to put this monkey into the szene. I needed to remove a part of the sculpture an build up the buildings behind.

 My squirrel did the olny right thing today, it ate some nuts went to bet.

no lucky day

No lucky day today. The mayor opend a middelaged christmas market in Karlshorst and it starts to rain. I could save my technic but i got wet allover.
When I came home, my laundry on the balkony where wet again too.
Later on I throw unfortunatly a big glass of selfmade marmelade on the floor. Cherry-mint and all ingrediente out of my garden, very sad.

Fitness

My last exhebition had ended just a few days ago, so I had to get my photos and frames from the galerie. I got a lot of nice comments into my guestbook and many more told me he impressions. The pictures showed old factories with respect but also the hardness of the deday after 20 years vacency.

Carring 26 frames into the 4. floor can be very athletic.
